Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Amethyst ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. Amethyst is operated by Riftmaker LLC.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Amethyst. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date. Each person may only maintain one account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Marketplace Services
Amethyst is a platform that facilitates peer-to-peer transactions between buyers and sellers of K-pop photocards. We are not a party to transactions between users. We do not own, sell, resell, or ship any items listed on the platform. Sellers are independent individuals, not employees or agents of Amethyst.
5. Listings
Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including photos, descriptions, condition ratings, and pricing. Listings must be for physical K-pop photocards only. The following are prohibited:
- Counterfeit or reproduction items
- Digital-only goods
- Items that are not K-pop photocards
- Misleading photos or descriptions that misrepresent the item
We reserve the right to remove any listing that violates these guidelines.
6. Purchases & Payments
All payments are processed through Stripe. When a buyer purchases a listing, their payment is held securely until the buyer confirms delivery of the item. A 12% platform fee is deducted from each sale, paid by the seller. Buyers pay only the listed price with no additional platform fees.
Amethyst does not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or other sensitive payment information. All financial data is handled by Stripe in accordance with PCI compliance standards.
7. Shipping & Delivery
Sellers are responsible for shipping items to buyers in a timely manner after a sale. Sellers must upload proof of shipment (photos or videos). Buyers must confirm delivery once the item arrives. If a buyer does not confirm delivery within the allotted time and no dispute is filed, funds may be automatically released to the seller.
8. Disputes & Refunds
If a buyer receives an item that does not match the listing description, they may open a dispute. Both parties can submit evidence (photos and descriptions) for review. Amethyst will review the evidence and may issue a refund to the buyer if the dispute is found in their favor. Dispute decisions are final.
9. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any fraudulent or unlawful purpose
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Circumvent the payment system by arranging transactions outside of Amethyst
- Create multiple accounts or impersonate another person
- Interfere with the operation of the Service or attempt to gain unauthorized access
- Post spam, misleading content, or advertisements
Violations may result in account suspension or permanent termination at our discretion.
10. Content
You retain ownership of content you post on Amethyst (photos, descriptions, messages, reviews). By posting content, you grant Amethyst a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the Service. We may remove content that violates these terms or is reported by other users.

11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. If your account is terminated, any pending transactions will be handled in accordance with our dispute resolution process. We reserve the right to retain transaction records as required for legal, financial, or dispute resolution purposes.
12. Limitation of Liability
Amethyst provides the platform "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed by users. We are not liable for any disputes between buyers and sellers beyond our dispute resolution process. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount of fees you have paid to Amethyst in the twelve months preceding the claim.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For significant changes, we will notify users through the app.
